Taj Ahmed - a solicitor who explains it like a friend.
Onward is a boutique UK employment-law firm acting for employees only. Our principal solicitor, Taj Ahmed, has spent 20+ years helping individuals through the most stressful moments of their working lives.

Where Taj trained
Taj qualified through two of the country's most respected practices. He trained at Christian Khan, the leading human-rights firm, and at Thompsons, the long-standing union firm where he advised members of Unite, Unison and the GMB. He brings that depth of experience to every individual matter.
Why a boutique firm
Big firms route you through call centres and paralegals. We don't. You speak to a qualified solicitor - the same one - start to finish. That continuity is the reason we can turn most matters around the same day.
Regulation and accreditation
We're authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA No. 560747) and listed on the Law Society. We act for clients across England & Wales, entirely remotely.
The philosophy
Plain English. Honest advice. No guaranteed outcomes - just clear options and a calm voice when you need one. Whether you're an employee staring at an offer letter or an employer trying to handle an exit properly, that's what you get.
What we mean by looked after.

"Most people we meet aren't shopping for a solicitor - they're sitting in a car park after a hard conversation, trying to work out what just happened. The first job is to slow it down. Read the agreement. Talk in plain English. Tell them what's normal and what isn't."
"I'd rather you put the phone down knowing where you stand than hire us in a panic. That's why the first call is free, the advice is honest, and - in nine cases out of ten - your employer pays our fee. There's no upsell. Just the next step."
"When clients describe us as calm or human, that's the bit I'm proudest of. Settlement agreements are technical. Being looked after shouldn't be."
